Privacy Policy

Zazim collects as little as it can to let you make plans with friends. We don't sell your data, show ads, or track you across other apps or websites.
What we collect
- Account: your name, username and password. Passwords are stored only as a secure hash, never as the password itself.
- Your city: shown on your plans and profile. It comes from your location (rounded to about 1 km) if you allow location, otherwise from your internet connection's approximate location.
- Precise location, only when you choose: if you tap "Use my location" on a plan or "Send my location" in a chat, that spot is shared with the people in that plan or chat. Distances to plans are worked out on your phone.
- What you post: plans, replies, chat messages, circles, and who you're friends with.
- Notifications: a device token so we can send you notifications, if you turn them on.
- Safety: reports you send, and who you've blocked.
Who sees what
Plans go only to your approved friends, to friends of friends when you turn that on for a plan, or only to the circles you choose. Plan chats are visible only to people in the plan. Your name, username, city and mutual friends are visible to people who search for you, so they can tell people with the same name apart.
Services we use
- Render hosts the app and its database in the United States.
- Apple Push Notification service and browser push services deliver notifications.
- OpenStreetMap Nominatim turns a rounded location into a city name. ipapi.co estimates a city from an internet address when location is off.
These services only receive what they need for that one task.
How long we keep it
Plan chats are deleted when the plan ends. Finished plans are deleted three days later. Everything else stays until you delete it or delete your account.
Deleting your data
Delete your account anytime in Friends → Settings → Delete account. That permanently removes your profile, friendships, circles, plans, replies and messages. Reports others made about you may be kept for safety.
Children
Zazim is not for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
